Dohri Zindagi is a tale of Teeja and Beeja, two women in love with each other and brave enough to defy norms. When two greedy sahukars from Marwad, Rajasthan, find out their wives are pregnant, they promise their unborn children to each other in marriage. As fate would have it, both have girls! But one sahukar lies and says he has had a boy, raises his girl like a son and gets her married to the other girl. All hell breaks loose on the wedding night when the bride discovers the betrayal.

Based on a revolutionary short story by Padmashri Vijaydan Detha, Dohri Zindagi was granted the Gender Bender Grant by The sandbox collective, The ladies finger and Goethe institute Bangalore and has garnered much critical and popular acclaim.
