At Le’ Chakallas Festival 2026, step into the timeless world of Dastangoi—an ancient art of oral storytelling where words alone build kingdoms, wars, love, and longing.

Performed by Himanshu Bajpayee, this evening revives the forgotten magic of spoken tales, drawing from Urdu–Persian traditions where the storyteller, armed only with voice and imagination, holds an entire audience spellbound. With lyrical narration, subtle humour, and emotional depth, Dastangoi unfolds stories that feel both historic and deeply contemporary.

Set against the intimate ambience of Artisan Coterie, this performance is an invitation to slow down, listen closely, and surrender to the power of narrative—where every pause matters and every word lingers.

Festival Note

This performance is presented as part of the Le’ Chakallas Art Festival, organised by Artisan Coterie in collaboration with Koshala Literature Festival and Mandali Talkies, and will be staged at Artisan Coterie.
