About the Play
Window Tak Aashiqui is a nostalgic and deeply emotional coming-of-age monologue set in the narrow lanes of Old Delhi, where love survives in glances, silences, and a single open window.
Narrated by Manurishi Chadha, the play traces Monu’s journey from childhood innocence to first heartbreak, shaped by a conservative society that watches and restrains affection.
Blending humour with tenderness, the story captures stolen smiles, cassette songs, and youthful longing, culminating in a brief moment of fulfilment that turns into lasting memory. Years later, Monu reflects on a love that didn’t fail—but was simply meant to remain "only up to the window."
